Drake Quibodeaux

LOUISIANA

DIPG: March 2018 – May 2019

Forever Age: 8

Drake was a fun-loving 8-year-old who lived with DIPG for fourteen months. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, liked to eat pizza, go four-wheeling with his brothers and was a big LSU Tigers football fan!

During a family outing in March, Drake had two seizures in a 6-hour period.  He was rushed to a local hospital and then transferred to Children’s of New Orleans where a MRI revealed his DIPG diagnosis.  His family choose treatment at Texas Children’s so that Drake could be enrolled in a clinical trial after undergoing radiation and steroid treatment. Drake bravely finished his fifth course of treatment in December.

Our Cannonballs Team had the absolute honor of meeting Drake and his family, getting to know them better at the LSU v. Rice football game where Drake received a royal game day experience! Drake and his family pray for a cure and so do we!
